Hair transplantation means transfer of intact hair from one part of the body to another. Typically, this procedure offers a solution for those seeking to replace hair loss.
The purpose of Hair transplantation is to make you look different. Hair transplantation should not be looked upon as a cure for baldness. No hair transplant of any complexity time or cost will match the dense hair growth that you had in your youth. The philosophy of hair transplantation is to frame the face with hair on three sides (the right left and the top). This framing of the face with hair gives you a youthful look. You should judge the results of the surgery by what it does to your appearance and physical appeal, rather than what it does at the operated site itself.
Hair transplantation can replace hair loss due to a variety of causes. Balding in men and in women can be treated by this procedure.

There are different ways to do harvest the hair from the scalp. In FUT (Follicular Unit Transfer) or strip method here a strip of hair is harvested and then the hair is split into individual follicles under video microscopy. The place where the hair is harvested from is closed with sutures.
In FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) or follicle extraction method, the hair follicles are extracted by the use of a special instrument. After this the hair is follicles are prepared and transplanted. Here there are no sutures on the scalp.
This procedure can be done under local anaesthesia. There is a chance that it may have to be repeated in future.
The procedure is performed a day care surgery and you will be sent home the same day on a few medications. You will need to come for follow up during the following week.
The final results of hair transplantation are generally good. There is a possibility of you needing a second transplantation in order to have a more natural looking hair growth.
Hair Transplant is a delicate and Time-consuming Procedure. The surgical procedure can last an entire day and sometime 2 days. Transplanted hair will take about 3-4 months to grow. In the meantime, the transplanted area will go through some changes. The operated site will be red and some scabs may be present. There are temporary and will go away. In around 7 -10 days’ time, the follicles will start to fall off they fall off. The Roots which take hold will grow and reach the skin surface with time usually about 3-4 months. By 10 months hairs will mature and add density to the areas. The hair generally growth at a rate of 1-1.5cm per month. it usually takes about 10 months for the hair to mature and give appearance of density.
Medical treatment
Some people with baldly a hair loss can be treated medically. They need to be evaluated for other causes of hair fall like low levels of Vitamin B OR Vitamin D / Haemoglobin or some Iron levels. There when corrected with stabilize hair fall.
There are a few medications that are available for treatment of hair fall. Medical treatment is simple but needs to be continued for a long time and this takes a lot of disciplined life style.
PRP
Platelet rich plasma is one of the minimally invasive treatments for hair loss. Philosophy treatment is that the platelet rich plasma has got some growth factor which helps in hair growth.
A small amount of blood is collected from you and the PRP is harvested in the blood bank. This plasma extract is then injected into the areas with hair fall.
The procedure is repeated at monthly intervals for 2-3 session. Some people have very encouraging results with the procedure.
This PRP can be combined with medical treatment or surgical treatment like hair fall.
Camouflage Techniques
